Precise 3-D data on a tomb containing an ancient mural and situated about 3 kilometers from the wrecked Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant was being collected on Feb. 9-10.
Fukushima Daiichi nuclear accident was a nuclear disaster at the Fukushima I Nuclear Power Plant on March 11, 2011, caused by the melting of three of the plant’s six nuclear reactors. The failure occurred when the plant was hit by a tsunami caused by a 9.0 magnitude earthquake.
