Fatty and processed foods such as cheese and meat cold cuts, are not recommended to eat in the evening. They are full of salt, raise the blood pressure and interfere with the digestion. These foods definitely avoid them late for dinner.
Broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage
Broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage are full of vitamins and minerals. However, you should avoid eating them in the evening, and especially before you go to bed. They actually contain long food fibers and they boil long so they kinda hinder sleep.
Lemon, oranges and other citrus fruits are excellent sources of vitamin C, but experts advise not to eat them after 17 pm. The acid in these fruits can cause stomach problems and keep you awake late in night.
Tomatoes contain a powerful antioxidant – lycopene which guards the health of the heart and blood vessels. But do not eat tomatoes and tomato sauces in the evening, because this healthy food is a frequent cause of cramps.
